Good idea! Very valid and expansive reasons you have, too.

I can just cope with it. It's still viable to use.

You might not be aware of this, but shelter is a very powerful spirit...it deserves a 25 energy cost. Maybe you could try using attuned was songkai to reduce the energy cost.

Shut the hell up. The sooner we all delete our rits, the sooner they'll remove them from the game, then they can get to work on paragons. Stupid, STUPID classes. Everyone who pvps competitively hates both classes, and Guild Wars is a PvP oriented game. If you dont agree with me, you're wrong.

I agree they nerfed the Ritual Lord build to much to early IMO. With the new skills for the Dervish (Banishing Strike) they made a good enough PvP counter for the Ritual Lord build. As for PvE the Ritual Lord would solve many problems players are facing in the Realm or Torment not to mention the Domain of Anguish areas.

Agreed with Apple.
Paragons and Ritualists were terrible problems for PvP. They were overpowered when they came out, and needed to be nerfed into oblivion for the metagame to be actually interesting. They bogged down and made GvG far too defensive. Both are terrible concepts.

Hello, welcome to Guild Wars PvP.
The Ritual Lord was absolute trash. I mean this in the sence that there was pretty much no usable counter to it, because the Ritualist could sit far behind a teams backline and spam spirits that would effect the entire team. You may think it possible to use a 'counter' like Unnatural Signet, or now Banishing Strike, however this is not even an option. It is sucide to extend that far into another teams backline. That, and when you have to bring a hard counter just incase someone is running a certain class, you know it's either very strong, or overpowered. Ritualists dragged games out, infact, any descent team running one could simply camp their GL cage area until VoD 9/10 times. They wouldn't win, because they'd be down plenty of other base NPCs and have a morale disadvantage, but they sure could drag games out... Infact, Ritualists still drag games out, and do not win them. It's just that since they've been nerfed considerably, no one runs them except fairly bad players.
So, you're telling me that a class that did not win games, and only prolonged them shouldn't have been nerfed? Quite honestly, I wish they would never have added Ritualists to the game. They were, and are a horrible class with very little potential, except to make games last longer.
Asking to make them stronger is absolutly uncalled for. Maybe buff the Channeling and Restoration lines even more, and give them much better skills in Chapter 4, but don't bring back the Ritual Lord. Defensive inbalances in PvP absolutly suck. It makes games last much longer, even games that one team doesn't even have a shot at winning.

Apple :P
Rits got their use even in high level of pvp. I see guilds utilize them well - I even saw a Rt healer that was designed for split! He also could singlehandedly shutdown A or W and even kill him if he persisted.
Rits are great class, but most of the people are using them in some gimmick ways.

Sorry Apple, but I think Ritualists still kick butt. Then again, I also play male Mesmers.
This thread is made of pwnsauce and win, which is why it has to die. Nothing this awesome should ever see the light of day.
